Mediation sessions can happen whether the parties are in the same location or on the other side of the world. Mediations can happen via:
- Skype,
- Google Hangouts,
- Zoom,
- or FaceTime
Mediation sessions can happen with one, two or more parties. They can also happen with only one party participating in the sessions.
Sessions may be one-on-one work, work with couples, or group coaching calls and are by appointment. During these calls we may:
- clarify your needs,
- I may offer empathy,
- I may support you to hear each others needs,
- we may find win-win solutions that don’t involve compromise,
- I may support your personal learning and/or growth by offering communication skills training, and
- I will support you in achieving your goals without feeling resentful in the process
Marshall Rosenberg, founder of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and my mentor from 1996-2015, says he found by using NVC, to offer role-plays and empathy, conflicts could be resolved in a matter of hours which had taken years using his PhD training in traditional Psychology. I celebrate the effectiveness of this work and the variety of issues that can be addressed using these tools.
